mindinthemachine.com is committed to the responsible use of artificial intelligence. This page explains what AI systems power our tools, what they do, how your content is handled, and the limitations you should keep in mind when using AI-assisted writing and image generation.
1. Overview
Our tools use AI to assist you in creating written work and images. The AI responds to the prompts and inputs you provide. It is an assistant: you direct it, you decide what to keep, and you remain responsible for the content you produce and publish.
2. What AI We Use
We use leading third-party AI models, accessed through their providers' APIs. We do not build or train our own foundation models.
- • Writing and chat -- large language models from Anthropic (Claude) and, where offered, other current providers, used to draft, revise, summarize, paraphrase, and discuss text.
- • Image generation -- image models from OpenAI, used to generate images from your text prompts.
Available models may change over time as providers release new versions. Where a tool lets you choose a model, your selection is shown on the tool itself.
3. Your Content and Training
Your prompts and the content you create are yours. We do not use your prompts, drafts, projects, or generated images to train AI models, and we do not sell them.
To produce a result, your inputs are sent to the relevant model provider to process the request. Reputable providers we use state that API content submitted by business customers is not used to train their models. Provider handling is governed by their own policies; we choose providers with content practices consistent with this commitment. We retain your inputs and outputs to deliver the Service and your history, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Ownership of Output
As between you and mindinthemachine.com, the content you generate is yours to use, subject to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Note that the legal status of AI-generated material can be uncertain and varies by jurisdiction, and similar outputs may be produced for other users. You are responsible for confirming that your use of generated content is lawful and does not infringe others' rights.
5. Limitations
AI is a powerful assistant but not infallible. You should be aware that AI output:
- • Can be inaccurate, outdated, or entirely fabricated ("hallucinated"), and should be fact-checked before you rely on it
- • Can reflect biases present in the data the models were trained on
- • May produce different results for the same prompt, and may not match your intent
- • Is not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise)
Always review and edit AI output before publishing or acting on it. You, not the AI, are responsible for the final work.
6. Your Rights
You can view and delete your generation history, export your work, and delete your account and associated content. You can choose when and whether to use the AI tools at all. For details on accessing, exporting, or deleting your data, see our Privacy Policy.
